| EXPERIENCE |
Fine Artist - Commission
Successful completion of numerous
commissioned pieces requiring skill, creativity and results
that meet clients’ visions.
- Example: Blue Fish – Acrylic painting
on canvas made from client’s underwater photographs
taken while diving near Honduras.
- Example: Big
Chill – Acrylic
painting of 13 women who meet each year for the Big Chill,
a week of fun and “catching up”. We made prints
from the painting as surprise Christmas presents for each
participant.
- Example: Logan – Acrylic painting of sixteen
year old boy who died in a rock climbing accident. Commissioned
by his father, I was free to choose style, medium and size
of portrait. Ultimately, Logan’s image was painted
with his hair blowing in the wind and then becoming eagle
feathers. Surprisingly, when the portrait was completed,
I discovered that Logan’s father had written a book
about his son entitled Learning to Fly.
Fine
Artist – Non-Commission
- Example: Grill Girls – Acrylic
painting of two older women sitting at a beach bar on the Texas
coast. After getting their permission, I painted the two with
the neon “grill” sign behind them. .
- Example:
Smell the Roses – Acrylic painting of small girl
smelling a rose. This piece was raffled at the 2001 Relay
for Life in
Granbury, Texas.
- Example: Hookers – Acrylic painting
of my open tackle box viewed from straight down.
